Super Eagles Coach Peseiro Urges Seriousness Ahead of Clash with Angola

Super Eagles’ head coach, Jose Peseiro, has swiftly shifted the team’s focus to their upcoming match against Angola following their 2-0 victory over Cameroon’s Indomitable Lions in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) round of 16.

Expressing the team’s determination, Peseiro emphasized the need to take their next opponents, Angola, seriously amidst their commendable performance in the tournament.

“We will now focus on our next match against Angola, who are having an excellent tournament,” he stated, cautioning the team to maintain a serious approach.

In a lighthearted manner, Peseiro highlighted the importance of discipline by humorously mentioning the team’s routine of early bedtime and pasta consumption. However, he promptly reinforced the gravity of the situation by acknowledging the competitive potential of all teams at this stage of the tournament.

As the Super Eagles brace themselves for the quarter-finals, Peseiro’s words underscore the team’s commitment to a focused and disciplined mindset in their pursuit of AFCON glory.
