The Nigerian national football team, known as the Super Eagles, has vowed to deliver an onslaught of goals as they prepare to take on Angola in the quarterfinals of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast.
In an interview on Channels Television, the team’s media officer, Babafemi Raji, expressed confidence that the Super Eagles would produce an abundance of goals in the upcoming match. Despite scoring only five goals in the tournament so far, Raji assured fans that the team is ready to showcase an impressive offensive performance against Angola.
Raji highlighted the playing style of the team’s coach, Jose Peseiro, emphasizing the coach’s preference for attacking football and ball possession. He stated, “Peseiro likes to play attacking football. He likes to keep possession of the ball. He likes to play the ball around. The goals will come in torrents. What Peseiro likes is beautiful football and attacking football.”
With the promise of a goal torrent, the Super Eagles are gearing up to demonstrate their prowess on the field and secure a decisive victory in the upcoming crucial AFCON match.
