South Africa’s Kekana Praises Goalkeeper Williams’ Heroic Performance Against Cape Verde in AFCON 2023

During the recent AFCON 2023 match, Bafana Bafana defender Grant Kekana lauded his teammate, goalkeeper Rowen Williams, for his outstanding performance against Cape Verde. Williams showcased his skills by making two crucial saves during the game. Subsequently, in the nail-biting penalty shootout, Williams, who also serves as the Bafana Bafana captain, demonstrated exceptional prowess by saving four penalties, ultimately securing their 2-1 victory and a spot in the semi-finals.

“World-class keeper, all I can say…I think he should be made the minister of finance, he can save South Africa’s economy,” Kekana expressed his admiration for Williams post-game.

Looking ahead, Hugo Broos’ side is set to take on the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the semi-finals at the Stade de la Paix, Bouake on Wednesday. The highly anticipated match will commence at 6pm Nigerian time.
