In the recent election rerun in Kaduna, David Jesse from the All Progressives Congress (APC) secured victory in the Chikun constituency. The outcome was announced by the returning officer, Professor Isah Bayero from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Jesse claimed the win with 18,566 votes, surpassing his closest competitor, Maria Dogo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who obtained 10,903 votes.
