Nyesom Wike Emphasizes Non-Partisan Approach to FCT Development

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, has underscored the importance of prioritizing the development of the nation’s capital beyond political affiliations. Wike highlighted the FCT Administration’s collaboration with six Area Council Chairmen, irrespective of party differences, to advance the Renewed Hope Agenda for the benefit of the people.
During the launch of the resurfacing of 182 existing roads and remedial works on bridges in Maitama, Garki, and Utako Districts of the FCT, Wike emphasized, “What we are doing today has nothing to do with political party. What we are talking about is governance, how will the people of Abuja benefit? Party is a vehicle that takes you to your destination. When you get to your destination, you come down and work. This is about governance.”
He further expressed gratitude to the National Assembly’s leadership and the various Committees overseeing the FCT, emphasizing the FCT Administration’s commitment to continued collaboration for the capital’s development.
