In anticipation of Nigeria’s Super Eagles facing off against South Africa’s Bafana Bafana in the AFCON semi-finals, the Edo State Government has launched free viewing centers across Benin City. The move is aimed at providing residents with the opportunity to watch the live broadcast of the match.

Chris Nehikhare, the State Commissioner for Communication and Orientation, revealed that the viewing centers have been strategically positioned and adequately secured to ensure the safety and comfort of viewers. The locations include Main Gate (near Nadia Bakery), New Benin (by Total fuel filling station), Ekehuan Campus Gate (by Garick Memorial School fence), Oliha Market (atop the red commercial decking building by the traffic light), and Ramat Park at Ikpoba Hill, all in Benin City. Additional locations are expected to be announced prior to the game.

Nehikhare emphasized the government’s recognition of the unifying influence of sports and encouraged football enthusiasts, supporters, and the general public to join in for an exhilarating experience while rallying behind the Super Eagles.
