Nigerian Ports Authority Reports 20 Ships Ready to Berth in Lagos

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) announced on Friday that a total of 20 ships are currently waiting to berth at the ports in Lagos. According to the NPA’s “Daily Shipping Position,” eight of these vessels will be carrying containers with diverse goods. Additionally, three vessels are expected to berth with petrol, and three others with bulk wheat. Furthermore, three vessels will be handling general cargo, while the remaining three will handle bulk clinker, bulk gas, and base oil.

At present, there are three ships waiting to berth, with bulk salt, containers, and Single Bout Mooring (SBM) at AMPT, Apapa Bulk, and Greenview Development Nigeria Ltd. terminals in Lagos. Meanwhile, only one vessel is waiting to discharge bulk gas at the Lagos port.

In addition, it was reported that 11 vessels are currently in the process of discharging petrol at various ports in Lagos.
