DRC Congo Determined to End AFCON 2023 Journey on a High Note

Sebastien Desabre, the head coach of the Democratic Republic of Congo, has emphasized the significance of concluding their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations campaign with a victory. Despite the disappointment of their 1-0 loss to Cote d’Ivoire in the final, Desabre is determined to secure the bronze medal in their upcoming clash against South Africa.

“We have to leave on a positive note. We have come a long way, we have shown good things and we do not want a grain of sand to derail the machine,” expressed the Frenchman, highlighting the team’s perseverance and dedication to finishing on a high. Desabre also emphasized the team’s commitment to bringing the medal home as a symbol of appreciation for the passionate Congolese football fans.

The Leopards, led by Desabre, are geared up to give their all in the battle for third place, aiming to end their AFCON journey with a sense of accomplishment and pride.
