The renowned General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, recently visited Kaduna State in Nigeria. His visit followed the successful completion of a 2-day national light-up crusade organized by the RCCG in Kaduna. During his visit, Pastor Adeboye met with the governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, receiving commendation for the positive impact of the crusades on Christian faithful in the state.
Governor Uba Sani expressed optimism about the country’s economic reforms but acknowledged the prevailing hardship. He emphasized the determination of the Nigerian president to lead the country to greater heights, seeking Pastor Adeboye’s intervention and prayers for the nation’s prosperity.
In response, Pastor Adeboye acknowledged Nigeria’s challenges but emphasized the nation’s abundance of intelligence, manpower, and natural resources. He stressed the need for spiritual intervention in addressing the country’s issues, stating that Nigeria’s problems exceed politics and require spiritual solutions. He highlighted the church’s efforts to instill hope and encouragement among the people, particularly the youth, amidst despair and tendencies towards drastic measures due to the prevailing hardship.
The visit culminated with representatives from the Redeemed Christian Church of God expressing gratitude to the Kaduna State Government for its logistical support in ensuring the successful and safe conduct of the two-day crusade.
