Ondo State Former PDP Chieftain, Tomide Akinribido, Joins APC

Former Ondo State House of Assembly member, Tomide Akinribido, has officially switched his allegiance from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Akinribido, previously the deputy-minority leader in the 9th House of Assembly, made the transition to the APC on Monday.
Expressing his contentment with joining the ruling party, the ex-lawmaker pledged his dedication to collaborating with the APC’s structure, leadership, stakeholders, and members.
Akinribido asserted, “My decision to align with the APC stems from my belief in Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s ability and determination to effectively govern the state and enhance the lives of its residents.”
In response, the Ondo State Chairman of the APC, Ade Adetimehin, revealed that several PDP chieftains are expected to defect to the ruling party.
Adetimehin remarked, “Akinribido’s defection is a long-awaited development. His intellect and capabilities will be valuable assets to the APC. We wholeheartedly welcome him to our party.
“As he has joined us, more PDP chieftains are poised to follow suit and join the APC. The umbrella of our party is large enough to accommodate numerous faithful members.”
