Shooting Stars Introduce Five New Players and Release Six in Mid-Season Overhaul

Shooting Stars, also known as the Oluyole Warriors, has bolstered its squad with the addition of five new players ahead of the second round of the 2023/24 season. The new signings include Alimi Sunday, a former Golden Eaglets player, Jimoh Oni from Inter Lagos, Hadi Mohammed from Akwa United of Uyo, Adewale Yusuf from Lobi Stars, and left-back Ehibe Victor. These acquisitions are aimed at elevating the team’s performance in the upcoming phase of the league.

Concurrently, the Ibadan-based team has announced the departure of six players. Notably, striker Kareem Ademola has secured a deal abroad, while Anayor Ogbonna, goalkeeper Ovunda Darlington, striker Emeka Obiora, winger Michael Eneruna, and center-back Ezeala Uche have also moved on to new opportunities, marking a significant restructuring of the squad.

At present, Shooting Stars holds the 11th position in the league standings and is gearing up to face Enyimba in Aba as the second round resumes in the coming week.
