Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, expressed the All Progressives Congress’ (APC) commitment to presenting a credible candidate capable of delivering progress to the people of Edo State. Uzodimma, as the chairman of the Primary Election Committee, assured the public of the committee’s dedication to selecting the best candidate for the September governorship election.
Addressing journalists after the inauguration of the committee by APC National Chairman, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, Uzodimma emphasized the party’s popularity and the importance of selecting a candidate who can resonate with the people of Edo State.
The committee members for the governorship primary election include Cross River State Governor, Bassey Otu as Deputy Chairman, former Osun State Deputy Governor, and other experienced politicians in key roles.
Former Governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole, also expressed confidence in the APC’s chances in the forthcoming election, citing the people’s dissatisfaction with the PDP and their eagerness to have the APC lead the state once again.
With the stage set for a competitive race, all eyes are on the APC as they strive to present a strong contender for the governorship position in Edo State.
