The Nigeria National League (NNL) has announced plans to increase the television coverage of its matches during the second phase of the current season. Emmanuel Attah, the Chief Executive Officer of NNL, confirmed this development during a press briefing in Abuja.

Attah emphasized that the NNL has finalized arrangements to broadcast more matches live on Global TV. He stated, “In the first phase, we televised matches from Abuja, as well as other venues such as Lagos and Enugu. However, in the second phase, we will significantly expand live coverage by visiting more locations.”

Expressing gratitude to their partners at Global TV for sharing their vision of showcasing the league on television, Attah highlighted that while the league is not currently generating revenue, their objective is to enhance its competitiveness and appeal to potential sponsors.

He further noted, “The NNL is operating smoothly this season, with teams achieving victories in away games, and matches being conducted without incidents of violence. The officiating has also been commendable. We urge corporate entities in Nigeria to support these commendable efforts.”

The NNL’s commitment to enhancing the visibility of matches and fostering a positive sporting environment reflects their dedication to promoting football growth and attracting corporate investments in the Nigerian football landscape.
