Bayern Munich Stands by Tuchel Despite Defeat to Bochum

Bayern Munich has opted not to terminate Thomas Tuchel’s contract following a 3-2 loss to Bochum on Sunday. The defeat has put the Bundesliga champions eight points behind current leaders Bayer Leverkusen and in danger of going without a trophy for the first time in 12 years. This latest defeat marks Bayern’s third consecutive loss in all competitions.

Speculation arose after Tuchel’s post-match press conference was canceled, leading to rumors about his potential dismissal. However, Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg revealed that Tuchel will remain in his position and has expressed his determination to continue. Additionally, the club’s CEO, Jan-Christian Dreesen, has affirmed that the embattled head coach will not be let go.

Dreesen commented, “I feel terrible. I don’t think it’s appropriate to make significant statements about the coach. This matter is not at the forefront of our thoughts right now.”
