Napoli’s Osimhen Could Face Barcelona in UCL, Says Caretaker Coach Calzona

Napoli’s interim coach, Francesco Calzona, has delivered encouraging news regarding Victor Osimhen’s readiness for the upcoming UEFA Champions League showdown against Barcelona.
Osimhen was notably absent from Napoli’s squad during last weekend’s Serie A clash with Genoa.
The Nigerian striker was sidelined due to a minor muscular issue and fatigue following his return from the Africa Cup of Nations.
Calzona, who stepped in for Walter Mazzarri, revealed that Osimhen participated in full training on Tuesday.
“Osimhen trained with the team. It wasn’t an extended session due to other commitments, but he worked at full intensity,” Calzona informed the media before the game.
“All players will undergo evaluation after tomorrow’s training.”
Napoli is set to host the first leg at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium on Wednesday.
