FCT Minister Nyesom Wike Vows Tight Security for Nigerian Law School Campus in Bwari, Abuja

FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has pledged enhanced security for the Nigerian Law School’s Abuja campus in Bwari. The assurance was made during a visit by the NLS delegation, led by Director-General Prof. Isa Chiroma.

Wike emphasized the presence of heavy security in Bwari Area Council in response to intelligence reports. He stressed the significance of safeguarding residents and institutions in the area to prevent setbacks for the country and FCT.

The minister reaffirmed FCT Administration’s backing for NLS, including considering requests for staff quarters construction and vehicle provision. Wike highlighted the importance of supporting agencies within the FCT, particularly emphasizing his commitment to the legal profession.

Furthermore, Wike directed the FCT Administration’s General Counsel to collaborate with NLS for integrating the staff quarters request into the 2024 statutory budget. He also assured assistance regarding the demand for vehicles, expressing willingness to allocate available vehicles to the school.

Meanwhile, Chiroma appealed for staff quarters construction and vehicle provision for the Abuja campus. The delegation also conveyed congratulations to Wike on his FCT ministerial appointment and informed him of being among the NLS’ awardees for its 60th Anniversary.NAN
