Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi says a new, prosperous Nigeria awaits if he is elected. Speaking on his campaign tour of the South‑East, which took him to Abia and Ebonyi states on Friday, the former Anambra governor pledged massive investment in critical infrastructure, education and health to improve the country’s fortunes and the wellbeing of its people.
Obi emphasized his private‑sector experience, noting, “Datti and I are from the private sector and have managed public funds. My record in Anambra State, where I served for eight years, is fully verifiable.” He urged voters to scrutinize any candidate they consider entrusting with their future, asking, “What is their name? Which school did they attend? Where are they from? How did they fare in their previous responsibilities?”
While thanking the people of Abia and Ebonyi for their support, Obi encouraged them to collect their Permanent Voter Cards so they can vote on February 25 in the presidential poll and in subsequent elections.
