APC Sets Up Committee for Ondo Governorship Primary Election

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has taken a significant step towards the Ondo governorship election by setting up a nine-man committee to oversee the primary election for aspirants. This decision was announced by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, in a statement released in Abuja.

The move follows the endorsement of Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the current governor of Ondo State, by 15 members of the Ondo State House of Assembly, including Speaker Olamide Oladiji. The endorsement was seen as a strong show of support for Aiyedatiwa’s bid to secure the party ticket and emerge victorious in the November 2024 governorship election.

In a resolution adopted at its 144th meeting on March 6, 2024, the APC’s National Working Committee formed a governorship primary election committee to ensure the smooth conduct of the election processes in Ondo State. The committee is made up of APC NWC members, with Emma Eneukwu serving as the Chairman, and other members including Festus Fuanter, Victor Giadom, Prof. Abdulkarim Kana, Sulaiman M. Argungu, Dr. Mary Alile Idele, Aare Durotolu Bankole, Nze Chidi Duru, and Felix Morka.
