Imo State Governor Urges Youth in Niger Delta to Stop Vandalism and Calls for Comprehensive Audit of NDDC Projects

Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State is urging the youth of the Niger Delta region to refrain from vandalizing NDDC projects and federal government assets. In a meeting with the Minister of Niger Delta Development, Abubakar Momoh, the governor emphasized the importance of creating employment and opportunities for the youth in the region.

During the meeting, Governor Uzodimma called for a thorough audit of all abandoned projects under the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) to ensure accountability and completion. He also proposed strengthening the Amnesty Programme to benefit the youth and communities in the region.

The governor urged the minister to allocate federal funds appropriately to improve infrastructure in the Niger Delta region. He pledged his continued support and collaboration with the Ministry of Niger Delta Development and NDDC to achieve development goals.

Governor Uzodimma emphasized the importance of completing abandoned projects in the region, stating that their completion would significantly boost development in the area. Minister Momoh highlighted the purpose of his visit to Imo State, which was to inspect ongoing projects and seek cooperation from the governors of the nine Niger Delta states.
