Governor Fubara Asserts 100% Control of PDP Structure in Rivers State

In a recent meeting of former members of the Rivers State PDP Presidential Campaign Council, former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Uche Secondus, made a bold statement regarding the leadership of the party in the state. He declared Governor Siminalayi Fubara as the undisputed leader, asserting that Fubara should have full control over the party’s structure, a whopping 100 per cent.

Addressing party members in Port Harcourt, Secondus emphasized the importance of unity within the party, especially in light of recent events where some members had shown disloyalty by engaging in anti-party activities. He urged forgiveness and reconciliation at all levels, from the unit to the local government, stressing the need for everyone to come together for the greater good of the state.

Secondus highlighted Governor Fubara’s commitment to inclusivity and unity, calling on all party leaders to set aside differences and work together towards a common goal. He underlined the governor’s stance on welcoming back those who may have left the party, emphasizing the strength that comes from unity and solidarity.

Drawing parallels to historical events in 1983, Secondus warned against external influences attempting to disrupt the unity of Rivers State, emphasizing the importance of grassroots leaders in safeguarding the state’s interests. He made it clear that the governor holds the ultimate authority within the party, and unity under his leadership is paramount for success.

Looking ahead to the future, Secondus expressed confidence in the party’s ability to overcome challenges and secure victory in the upcoming elections. He rallied supporters to stand firm and united, ensuring that no external forces could undermine the strength and resilience of Rivers State.

As the political landscape evolves, Secondus remains steadfast in his belief that unity, forgiveness, and inclusivity will be the keys to securing a brighter future for the party and the state as a whole. With a strong foundation of grassroots support and unwavering commitment to the cause, the PDP in Rivers State stands poised to face whatever challenges come their way, united and determined.
