Abia State Governor Alex Otti Welcomes Opposition Members to Labour Party, Ensures Good Governance and Security Efforts

Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has made it clear that the doors of the Labour Party, LP, are open to members of the opposition party who wish to switch sides. In a media chat with Abia people at the State Government House in Umuahia, Otti likened a political party to a church, where everyone is welcome to worship.

Despite the potential influx of new members, Otti assured the public that the good governance currently in place in the state will remain unaffected. He emphasized that his administration has been utilizing security votes to maintain peace and security in Abia, fulfilling his campaign promises.

In a recent success story, Otti revealed that a notorious kidnapping gang leader was apprehended at Murtala Mohammed Airport while attempting to flee the country. Another member of the gang was also captured in Port Harcourt, thanks to the efforts of the Operation Crush security team established by the governor.

Furthermore, Otti expressed satisfaction in announcing that pensioners in the state, who had long been owed their pensions, have finally received their dues. This positive development reflects the commitment of the administration to prioritize the welfare of its citizens.

The proactive measures taken by Governor Alex Otti and his team have led to tangible results in combating crime and ensuring the well-being of Abia residents. The state continues to progress under his leadership, with a focus on security, governance, and accountability.
