Hameem Sanusi emerges new Emir of Dutse

Hameem Nuhu Muhammad Sanusi, the son of the late Emir of Dutse, has emerged as the new emir after the selection process conducted by the seven kingmakers of the Dutse Emirate Council.

This was contained in a press statement from the Emirate Council obtained by Media Talk Africa.

The statement said the seven kingmakers unanimously selected Hameem Nuhu Muhammad Sanusi, out of three contenders, as the new emir.

The council of chiefs subsequently sent the name of Muhammad Hameem to Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar for his approval.

Media Talk Africa reported that the Emir of Dutse in Jigawa State, Dr Nuhu Muhammad Sanusi died on Tuesday at the age of 78 after a brief illness.
