Tonto Dikeh Criticizes Peter Obi Over Quality of Boreholes in Northern Nigeria

Nollywood star Tonto Dikeh has taken to social media to express her disappointment with Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate for the upcoming 2023 election, regarding the quality of boreholes he donated to communities in Northern Nigeria.

In a post on Instagram, Tonto Dikeh criticized the boreholes donated by Peter Obi, stating that she was unsatisfied with their quality. She called on the Anambra politician to collaborate with President Bola Tinubu to contribute to the progress of Nigeria.

Expressing her disappointment, Tonto Dikeh wrote, “His Excellency, sir, with all due respect, @peterobigregory, I am deeply disappointed by this. The idea that Nigeria was almost entrusted to you, sir, is disheartening. This isn’t trolling; I’m genuinely dissatisfied with your actions.”

She continued, “I’m in disbelief. Were you truly committed to taking this country to the next level? This situation highlights the need for all of us to join hands with Mr President, @officialasiwajubat, and actively contribute to the nation’s progress. It’s not a task for one person alone; it requires the dedication of all.”

In a final plea to Peter Obi, Tonto Dikeh expressed her disappointment but also her continued support, stating, “YOUR EXCELLENCY, Mr. Obi, I am profoundly let down. Despite that, you remain one of my favourite politicians. However, I believe in speaking the truth directly because I love you, but I love Nigeria even more.”

The actress’s comments have sparked a conversation online about the responsibility of politicians to deliver on their promises and the importance of collaboration for the progress of the nation.
