Iran’s Foreign Minister Warns of Potential Attack on Israel’s Cities

Iran’s Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdullahi, issued a stern warning to Israel, stating that the recent attack was just a taste of what Iran is capable of. In an exclusive interview with NBC News’ Tom Llamas at the United Nations Security Council in the US, Amir-Abdullahi made it clear that Iran could target major Israeli cities like Tel Aviv and Haifa, as well as its economic ports.

“We could have hit Haifa and Tel Aviv. We could have also targeted all the economic ports of Israel. But our red lines were civilians. We only had a military purpose,” Amir-Abdullahi emphasized.

The Iranian Foreign Minister stressed that Iran was not seeking further escalation unless provoked by Israel. However, he warned that any significant attack on Iran would be met with an immediate and maximum response, causing Israel to regret its actions.

Amir-Abdullahi also downplayed the recent attack on Iran, likening the weapons used to children’s toys. Despite reports of Israel carrying out a retaliatory strike following the April 1 attack in Damascus, Syria, which resulted in the death of Iranian generals, Amir-Abdullahi did not confirm Israel’s involvement in the recent incident.

“What happened last night was not a strike. They were more like toys that our children play with – not drones,” he remarked.

The escalating tensions between Iran and Israel have raised concerns about the potential for further conflict in the region. As the situation continues to unfold, the international community watches closely, hoping for a peaceful resolution to the longstanding animosity between the two nations.
