Leeds United manager Jesse Marsch was dismissed on Monday after the club’s poor performances on the pitch. The club announced the decision via its official Twitter account, stating: “Leeds United can confirm head coach Jesse Marsch has been relieved of his duties.”
Marsch, who previously coached Leipzig, had been hired on a three‑year contract to replace the sacked Marcelo Bielsa. The team’s last Premier League win came on 5 November, a run of results that prompted supporters to call for his removal. In the club’s statement it noted, “Jesse joined the club in February 2022 and was instrumental in keeping the club in the Premier League on the final day of last season.”
The announcement also confirmed that the search for a new head coach is already underway. “The process of appointing a new head coach is underway and we will continue to keep supporters up to date throughout the coming days,” the club added.
