Multinational Joint Task Force Ramps Up Operations in Lake Chad Basin

The Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) has significantly increased its troop and equipment presence in the northeast of Nigeria and Cameroon’s Far North, aiming to enhance regional security and safety. This deployment intensifies efforts to eradicate remnants of Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists within the Lake Chad basin.

Lieutenant Colonel Abubakar Abdullahi, the Chief Military Public Information Officer for the MNJTF stationed in N’Djamena, Chad, assured the public that the expanded military activity is part of a strategic initiative to target terrorist strongholds. Residents are encouraged not to panic at the sight of increased military movements but to support these operations which are designed to secure the area and eliminate terrorist threats.

The MNJTF’s commitment to stabilizing the region remains unwavering as they strive to ensure a safer environment for the inhabitants of the Lake Chad basin by removing terrorist elements and restoring peace.
