Primate Ayodele Warns Tinubu: Northern Opposition Threatens Second Term Bid

Primate Elijah Ayodele of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church has issued a cautionary message to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, advising him to be strategic in his approach to the Northern part of the country, as they may not support his second-term ambition.

According to Primate Ayodele, there will be a series of oppositions against President Tinubu in the North, with some individuals close to him betraying his trust. Despite Tinubu’s efforts, the prophet predicts that his endeavours will face aggressive resistance from certain Northern leaders.

Furthermore, Primate Ayodele foresees a lukewarm relationship between President Tinubu and his Vice, Kashim Shettima, stemming from issues that will arise from the North. This strained relationship may contribute to political setbacks and tensions surrounding the administration’s second-term bid.

Additionally, Ayodele warns of continued insecurity in the Northern region until around 2030, coupled with inadequate infrastructure and education. He emphasizes the need for Tinubu to be vigilant, as the Northerners may become his adversaries, potentially leading to inter-ethnic crises.

In Ayodele’s perspective, the current government lacks a comprehensive plan for Northern development, attributing this to internal resistance within the region. Consequently, he predicts ongoing challenges such as insecurity, poor infrastructure, and educational deficiencies, leading to further division within the North.
