The Kebbi State Government has announced the successful arrival of its third flight of intending pilgrims to Madinah, Saudi Arabia. The flight, which departed from Sir Ahmadu Bello International Airport in Birnin Kebbi, carried 430 intending pilgrims from Gwandu, Aliero, Bunza, and Kalgo Local Government Areas of Kebbi alongside Kebbi Government Officials (KGO).
The flight took off at about 4:00 pm Nigerian time and arrived at Madinah at about 12:30 am Saudi Arabian time. This marks another successful operation in the state’s ongoing efforts to facilitate the Hajj pilgrimage for its citizens.
Malam Hussaini Abubakar-Giro, a board member of the Kebbi Pilgrims Welfare Board, confirmed that all necessary arrangements had been made to receive the pilgrims in Madinah and transport them to their respective hotels. Buses were waiting for the pilgrims upon their arrival, and they were grouped into 45 people right from Nigeria using their passports for ease of identification.
Abubakar-Giro praised the Chairman of the Kebbi Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Faruku Aliyu-Enabo, for the new innovations that have been introduced to streamline the process. He noted that these innovations have significantly contributed to the success of the operations.
The Kebbi State Government’s efforts to ensure a smooth and comfortable journey for its intending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia reflect the importance it places on the Hajj pilgrimage and the welfare of its citizens.
