Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has left the Premier League club by mutual consent, according to Sky Sports. Pochettino, who arrived at Stamford Bridge last summer on a two-year deal, guided the Blues to a sixth-place finish in the league.

Despite a strong end to the campaign, Pochettino reportedly had differences with the club’s owners, Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital. These disagreements ultimately led to his departure.

Pochettino’s exit marks him as Chelsea’s sixth permanent manager in the past five years. This follows the previous dismissals of Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter last season, which saw Frank Lampard step in as interim manager.

Chelsea will now be on the lookout for yet another manager to steer the club forward, continuing a period of significant managerial turnover.
