Iran’s Supreme Leader Affirms Divine Promise of Israel’s Elimination

Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, reaffirmed his stance on the elimination of Israel, stating that it is a divine promise and achievable. Speaking during a meeting with Hamas’ top leader, Ismail Haniyeh, Khamenei referenced a Quranic verse to illustrate his point, highlighting the possibility of a small group overcoming larger forces through divine will. He pointed to past instances where smaller groups had triumphed over formidable opponents, including America, NATO, and Britain, suggesting that the eventual elimination of Israel could similarly occur.

Haniyeh visited Tehran to attend the funerals of Iran’s late President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian, who tragically died in a helicopter crash alongside six others. During his visit, Haniyeh conveyed solidarity with the Iranian people and leadership, offering his condolences.

Notably, members of a Taliban delegation, including acting First Deputy Prime Minister Abdul Ghani Baradar and Afghan Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi, were also present during Haniyeh’s visit to Iran.
