Spain Wins UEFA Euro 2024 Championship
The Spanish national football team has won the UEFA Euro 2024 championship, securing a 2-1 victory over England in the final at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin. This is Spain’s fourth Euro title, cementing their status as one of the continent’s top footballing nations.
After landing in Madrid, Coach Luis de la Fuente’s team met with Spain’s prime minister and then paraded through central Madrid, celebrating their triumph. The team’s flawless tournament performance saw them emerge victorious in all seven matches, including wins against Germany, Italy, and France.
The winning goal was scored by Mikel Oyarzabal four minutes from time, cancelling out Cole Palmer’s equalizing goal and sealing Spain’s fourth Euro title. La Roja completed a dominant tournament, defeating England and securing their place in history.
Individual honors were also awarded, with midfielder Rodri named player of the tournament and winger Lamine Yamal crowned best young player.
