Super Falcons Crash Out of Olympics: Ajibade Disappointed with Team’s Performance

Super Falcons Suffer Early Exit from 2024 Olympic Games

The Nigerian national women’s football team, Super Falcons, has been eliminated from the 2024 Olympic Games after a disappointing showing in the group stage. The team, coached by Randy Waldrum, suffered a 3-1 defeat to Japan on Wednesday, which sealed their exit from the tournament.

The Super Falcons were unable to secure a win in their three group games, scoring just one goal while conceding five. Ajibade, a winger for Atletico Madrid, expressed disappointment with the team’s performance, acknowledging the tough tests they faced against some of the best teams in the world.

Despite the disappointing outcome, Ajibade took time to appreciate the fans for their unwavering support throughout the tournament. In a statement posted on X, she wrote: "It was a disappointing outcome in the end for the team after three tough tests against some of the best football teams in the world. We thank you for your endless love and support. We appreciate every one of you. In all, we give thanks to God."

The Super Falcons’ early exit from the 2024 Olympic Games marks a disappointing end to their campaign, but the team’s fans will be hoping to see improvements in their performance in future tournaments.
