Venu Streaming Service Launched with NFL, MLB, NBA, and More for $42.99/month

Venu: The Latest Sports Streaming Service to Hit the Market

Are you ready to shell out even more money for a streaming service? Well, you’re in luck because Venu, the joint sports streaming offering from Disney (ESPN), Fox, and Warner Bros. Discovery, has officially announced its pricing and launch date. The service will cost $42.99 per month and is set to launch in the fall, although no exact date has been revealed.

At first glance, the price may seem steep, especially compared to other streaming services on the market. However, sports and live broadcast rights are a big business, and sports fans are often willing to pay a premium to catch their favorite teams and players in action. Venu’s goal is to attract younger viewers who love sports but don’t want to pay for a traditional cable package.

So, what can you expect from Venu? The service will offer a range of sports programming, including the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, WNBA, NASCAR, college sports, golf, tennis, and soccer. You’ll have access to a variety of channels, including ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SECN, ACCN, ESPNEWS, ABC, FOX, FS1, FS2, BTN, TNT, TBS, truTV, and ESPN+.

However, the big question mark is the NFL. With ESPN and Fox onboard, you’ll get a decent amount of NFL action on Venu. But if you’re an NFL completist, you may find that Venu isn’t enough. NBC, CBS, Amazon, and the NFL Network also air a significant number of NFL games, so you may need to subscribe to additional services or stick with a traditional cable package to catch every game.

In the end, Venu may be a great option for sports fans who want a one-stop-shop for their favorite teams and players. But for those who want to watch every NFL game, it may not be the best choice.
