APC Chieftain Warns of Coup Attempt Against Tinubu After 30 Years of Preparation

Tinubu’s APC Chieftain Accuses Election Losers of Plotting Coup

A top chieftain of Nigeria’s ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Joe Igbokwe, has accused election losers of planning to stage a coup against President Bola Tinubu. Igbokwe made the allegations on his Facebook page, citing Tinubu’s 30-year preparation for the presidency as a reason why the president cannot be ousted through a coup.

Igbokwe wrote: "Election losers wanted to stage a Coup against a President that laboured for nearly 30 years to prepare himself for the exalted office. Not when someone like PBAT is the President. Make we de play. You cannot carry the land na."

This statement comes at a time when another APC chieftain, Adamu Garba, claimed that the same cabals that ensured former President Goodluck Jonathan’s loss in 2015 have been activated against Tinubu in the North. However, Garba vowed that the Northern cabal would fail in their attempt to oust Tinubu, who he believes is a strong and prepared leader.

The allegations of a coup plot have sparked concerns about political instability in Nigeria, with many wondering if the claims are genuine or mere political rhetoric. The APC has not commented on the matter, but the opposition parties have been quick to dismiss the allegations as baseless and a desperate attempt to distract from the president’s alleged failures.

As the political landscape in Nigeria continues to evolve, one thing is clear: the stakes are high, and the tension is palpable. Will the APC’s claims of a coup plot hold water, or is it just a clever ploy to gain political advantage? Only time will tell.
