MTN Foundation Unveils 2024 Musical Society of Nigeria Scholarship Programme

The MTN Foundation has announced its resolve to develop musical talent in Nigeria with its 2024 Musical Society of Nigeria Scholarship Programme. The initiative aims to help aspiring young Nigerian musicians overcome the challenges on their path to success.

In a statement, the MTN Foundation stated that the music industry is brimming with creative and ambitious talents, yet many aspiring Nigerian musicians face uncertainty on their path to success. The MTN-MUSON Scholarship Programme is designed to change that by preparing young talents for the national and global stage.

The foundation’s partnership with MUSON will offer a comprehensive experience aimed at nurturing the next generation of musical talent in Nigeria. Scholars in the programme will receive world-class training that will hone their musical skills, enhance their understanding of the music business, and deepen their appreciation for the arts.

Beyond covering students’ full tuition, the programme will build stage confidence and showcase talent through live performances. The MTN Foundation noted that these learning experiences have been proven to help musical talents looking to thrive in the music industry.

Since its establishment in 2004, the MTN Foundation has invested about N29.4bn in 1,052 projects across the country. The foundation has also disclosed that over 484 alumni have benefited from the scholarship programme and gone on to become influential figures in the music industry, both locally and internationally.

The MTN Foundation is calling on young Nigerian musicians with talent and a passion for success to enrol in the programme to take advantage of the opportunity to refine their talent, network with other young and talented musicians, and build a solid foundation for their successful musical careers.
