Samsung Unveils Bixby-Powered Bespoke AI Home Appliances

Samsung has made a significant move in the world of smart home technology by integrating its native artificial intelligence (AI) voice assistant, Bixby, into its Bespoke AI home appliances. With this addition, users can now verbally command their devices, and Bixby will understand and carry out the tasks. The AI-powered voice assistant is trained using generative AI, allowing it to understand natural language commands.

The new Bixby integration enables users to give complex and multi-step commands, such as setting the air conditioner to a specific temperature and finishing laundry by a certain time. Bixby can also remember previous conversations and contextualize them for future tasks. Additionally, users can ask the voice assistant questions about their devices and receive answers, such as how much energy their washing machine has saved.

The Bixby integration is currently available in the Bespoke AI Combo (robotic vacuum cleaner), Bespoke AI Family Hub Refrigerator, Bespoke AI Steam (robotic mop), and Bespoke AI Wind-Free Gallery Air Conditioner. Samsung plans to add the feature to more devices in the future.

In a separate announcement, Samsung introduced a generative wallpaper feature for its Bespoke AI Family Hub Refrigerator. Users can now generate customised images in seven themes, including nature, flowers, events, and food, as well as six art styles.

With Bixby’s AI capabilities and natural language understanding, Samsung’s Bespoke AI home appliances are set to revolutionize the way we interact with our smart devices.
