Imo APC Primaries: Chairperson Denies Released Results

Imo State APC Chairman Disburses Rumors of Primaries’ Results

Nigerian politics is ablaze as the Imo State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Macdonald Ebere, has urged candidates and party faithful to dismiss rumors surrounding the release of results from the local government primary elections. The eagerly anticipated results have yet to be officially announced, amid claims that the party has already made public the winner.

During a press briefing, Chairman Ebere candidly revealed that the actual outcome is still being collected, citing the slow processing of votes. "The results are trickling in one after the other, and we are waiting till the end of the exercise," he assured. Echoing similar sentiments, Chief Ebere praised the orderly conduct of the elections, attributing the success to the joint efforts of electoral officials, security forces, and his team.

Additional insight was provided by ISIEC Commissioner Charles Ohiri, who corroborated the smooth execution of the primaries, stating, "It was a free and fair election. We worked tirelessly throughout the day monitoring the proceedings, and according to our information, all went as planned."

Curiously, social media buzz has started to circulate congratulatory messages for various aspirants who participated in the primary elections, amid the yet-to-be-disclosed outcome. As of now, the Imo State APC remains tight-lipped on the results.

With emotions running high as the primary elections conclude, and the Imo State public eagerly anticipating the outcome, it is crucial to trust credible sources and disregard unchecked rumors that may spread during this crucial period. While the stakes are high for those involved, the collective hope lies in a genuinely democratic and transparent process where the party’s leadership respects the sanctity of election results.
