iPhone 16 Pro: New Camera Button & A18 Chip Revealed

As the clock ticks closer to Apple’s “It’s Glowtime” launch event, the tech giant is expected to unveil its latest iPhone series, and a recent leak from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has given us a glimpse into what’s in store.

According to Gurman, the iPhone 16 series will feature a dedicated camera button, allowing users to quickly capture images and videos with a single tap. This button will be a staple across all four new models, which are tipped to include the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Max, and possibly an iPhone 16 Mini.

In addition to the camera button, Gurman notes that the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will have “noticeably” reduced bezels, thanks to a process called Border Reduction Structure (BRS). This will bring the black area surrounding the screen to an impressive 1.15mm, making these high-end smartphones even thinner and more sleek than their predecessors.

The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are also expected to launch with slightly larger displays, which could lead to bigger batteries that offer longer battery life on a single charge. Both of these models are set to offer battery life improvements over their predecessors, making them a significant upgrade for fans of the iPhone.

While the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro were equipped with A16 Bionic and A17 Pro chips, respectively, Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 16 series with an A18 chip across the board. This means that all four new models will feature Apple’s latest processor, which is sure to provide a significant boost in performance and power efficiency.

The iPhone 16 series is also set to debut alongside new Apple Watch and AirPods models, with a live stream of the event scheduled to begin at 10:30pm IST on YouTube, the Apple TV+ app, and the company’s website. Viewers can tune in to see the latest innovations from Apple and get a first look at the new iPhones.
