Cristiano Ronaldo Slams Critics, Says He Won’t Let ‘Two Rats’ Dim Shine

Cristiano Ronaldo Fires Back at Critics with a Fiery Response

Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo has responded to the wave of criticism he has received in recent times, describing his detractors as “two rats” from TV who nobody knows. Speaking on Rio Ferdinand Presents, Ronaldo hit out at those who have questioned his ability and called for him to retire from international football.

Ronaldo, 39, recently failed to score a goal at the Euro 2024 tournament in Germany, where Portugal were eliminated in the knock-out stage. The lack of success on the pitch, combined with his advancing age, has led some to question whether he has a future in the international game.

However, the Al-Nassr forward is refusing to let criticism get him down. In a fiery response, Ronaldo said, “People always take the worst part, not always the good part. But I’m not going to finish my career because two rats criticise me.”

Ronaldo also drew on his reputation as a global superstar, pointing out that “the world loves me, the fans love me. This is my motivation to carry on football. People love me.” He added, “No one is going to take my shine away because two people from TV that nobody knows criticise me.”

It remains to be seen how Ronaldo’s outburst will be received, but it is clear that he is not going quietly into the night. For now, the Portugal captain remains committed to his career, and is determined to prove his doubters wrong.
