International singer Rema shares shocking rumor about himself on podcast
Nigerian singer, Divine Ikubor, better known by his stage name Rema, recently opened up about the craziest rumor he has ever encountered about himself on the “Kids Take Over” podcast. The ‘Calm Down’ hitmaker revealed that being tagged as a “devil worshiper” is the most outlandish and untrue thing he has ever seen online about himself.
When asked by the podcast host to share the most crazy, untrue thing that has been said about him online, Rema shared his shock and laughter as he revealed the rumors about him. “They say worship the devil,” he said with a chuckle. “It’s crazy. I didn’t respond to it because it is not important. It’s a waste of time.” The singer emphasized that the symbols he uses in his art are deeply rooted in his Edo culture and are not satanic as rumored.
In addition to discussing the shocking rumor, Rema also spoke about his experience working with Canadian superstar Drake on their song ‘Mention Me’, which was leaked in 2020. “I’m happy to work with a legend like Drake. I feel like we are going to make a very huge song if we take our time to build something very strong,” he expressed.
