The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) debunked a report that an aptitude test for its 2023 recruitment would be held on Friday, February 17, and Saturday, February 18. The claim originated from an online media platform, but the NIS clarified that it has no connection to the publication and warned that the information is false.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the NIS emphasized that any official news about its recruitment process will be communicated solely through its verified social‑media channels or in daily newspapers. The agency confirmed that the application portal for the recruitment has already closed and that shortlisted candidates will be contacted for the next stage.
The NIS also noted that the data collected from applicants is currently being reviewed and that no date for an aptitude test has been set. It urged the public to disregard the misinformation circulating on the unknown website.
