A devastating tragedy has befallen the family of Faisal Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi, the eldest son of former Kaduna State Governor, Senator Ahmed Makarfi. Faisal met his untimely death in a car accident on Saturday evening along the Kaduna-Zaria expressway.

According to a source close to the family, the accident occurred on Saturday evening, with Faisal being rushed to an undisclosed hospital, where he was sadly declared dead. His father, Senator Makarfi, was present at the hospital, and the body has been taken home for burial arrangements.

Faisal, a trained engineer, had a distinguished educational background, having attended Kaduna International School for his primary education and later Adesoye College in Offa, Kwara State, for his secondary education. He continued his academic pursuits at the University of Greenwich, London, earning his undergraduate and master’s degrees before enrolling for a PhD at the same institution.

In his time of grief, Senator Makarfi, a former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, has not made any public comments. A source close to the family confirmed the incident, stating, “The accident happened along the Kaduna-Zaria highway this evening. Faisal was rushed to an undisclosed hospital, where he was declared dead. His father was at the hospital, and the body has been taken home for burial arrangements.”
