Shooting Stars technical adviser Gbenga Ogunbote said his team will respect their Nigeria Premier Football League matchday 12 opponent, Ikorodu City.

Shooting Stars and Ikorodu City will clash in the South West derby at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos, on Sunday.

Ikorodu City are unbeaten in their last two games. The Oga Boys defeated Katsina United 2-1 away on Sunday.

“I don’t disrespect any team; Ikorodu City is a team you should respect. For them to be in the premiership, we respect them, and we are not afraid of them,” Ogunbote stated to Shooting Stars media.

“As for the match, all we need to do is go there and play our game. We are representing the state and the entire followers of the club, and we will do everything humanly possible to defend the badge.”
