Eguavoen uncertain over Super Eagles future

Augustine Eguavoen is not sure whether he will remain in charge of the Super Eagles beyond this year.

Eguavoen, who is also the technical director of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), has delivered on the mandate to qualify the Super Eagles for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations finals.

There are reports that the NFF is still searching for a foreign coach to handle the Super Eagles.

The former defender admitted that his future with the team is not certain at the moment.

“The World Cup will come, but I don’t know if I will be in charge or not; if I’m in charge, we’ve spoken about it, we know that we have to win every game, and we will approach each game as a final,” he told reporters in Uyo.

“So, let that time come first.”
