Spotify is adding a dedicated fitness hub to its app, allowing users to access guided workout sessions, playlists and classes without leaving the platform. The feature, available to both free and Premium subscribers, integrates content from creators such as Chloe Ting and Kassandra Reinhardt, as well as brands like Sweaty Studio and Pilates Body By Raven.
In addition, Spotify has partnered with Peloton to offer Premium members in selected markets more than 1,400 on‑demand classes covering strength, cardio, yoga and meditation. The collaboration enables users to stream Peloton workouts directly within Spotify, extending the service’s catalogue beyond music and podcasts.
Spotify cites that nearly 70 percent of its Premium users engage in regular exercise and that the platform hosts over 150 million fitness‑related playlists worldwide. By consolidating workout audio, video and instructional content in a single hub, the company aims to turn the app into a broader lifestyle platform.
The new hub can be accessed by searching “fitness” within the Spotify interface, where users will find curated playlists such as “Quick Core Workouts” and “Kickstart Your Run” alongside full‑length guided sessions. Both free and paying members can stream these playlists, while Premium users receive the added benefit of Peloton’s on‑demand library.
Spotify’s expansion follows a trend among digital platforms to integrate multiple services—music, podcasts, audiobooks and now fitness—into a unified user experience. By embedding workout content directly into its ecosystem, Spotify seeks to increase engagement and retain users who already rely on the service for music during exercise.
The rollout positions Spotify as more than a streaming service; it is now a one‑stop destination for music, audio entertainment and guided fitness. Continued user adoption will indicate whether the fitness hub becomes a permanent feature of the platform’s offering or simply an additional tab in an increasingly crowded app environment.
