NPFL: Derby win over Shooting Stars will boost Ikorodu City’s morale — Aweroro

Ikorodu City head coach, Nurudeen Aweroro believes the victory over Shooting Stars will boost the confidence of the players ahead of subsequent games.

The Oga Boys defeated Shooting Stars 2-1 in Sunday’s matchday 12 fixture at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos.

Ikorodu City will battle with Niger Tornadoes in their next game.

Aweroro said that his team will approach every game with a winning mentality.

“The win will help boost the mentality of the players ahead of subsequent games in the league, ” Aweroro told Ikorodu City media.

“It’s going to be one step after the other I still believe the players have hopes of achieving greater height.”

Ikorodu City occupies eighth position on the league table with 17 points.
