EPL: Amorim eyeing two Super Eagles strikers for Man Utd transfer

Two Super Eagles strikers are on Manchester United’s four-man shortlist, to improve their goalscoring under new head coach Ruben Amorim.

The Red Devils have scored only 13 times in 12 Premier League matches played so far.

According to Sky Germany, Eintracht Frankfurt forward Omar Marmoush and Galatasaray’s Victor Osimhen are the leading contenders for a move to Old Trafford.

Marmoush has scored 11 goals in as many Bundesliga appearances for Frankfurt and would cost around £50million.

Osimhen is currently on loan at Galatasaray after pushing to leave Napoli and has a £63m release clause. The Nigerian has scored eight goals in 10 matches this season.

Randal Kolo Muani and Victor Boniface are claimed to be outside contenders on Man United’s shortlist.

Kolo Muani, who was signed for £77million last year, has made just two starts for Paris Saint-Germain this season.

The Ligue 1 side are open to a loan deal or outright sale.

Boniface has scored eight goals in 15 matches in all competitions this season, after netting 14 in 23 league games to help Leverkusen to the title in the 2023/24 campaign.

Man United’s forwards have struggled for form this season, with Rasmus Hojlund having struck just twice after an injury-hit, disrupted start.

Joshua Zirkzee’s debut goal remains his only one in a Man United shirt after 18 appearances, following his £36.5million summer move from Bologna.
