NPFL: Babaganaru talks up young striker’s impact at Akwa United

Akwa United technical adviser, Mohammed Babaganaru says the club will continue to encourage and support striker Friday Apollos.

Apollos has registered four goals for Akwa United in his debut season in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL.

The youngster netted Akwa United’s winning goal in their matchday 13 clash against Plateau United on Wednesday.

Babaganaru opined that his team needed to protect the youngsters in games.

“Friday is a wonderful striker that we are trying to improve his game,” Babaganaru told Akwa United’s media.

“This is his first season in any league and he has been able to fit in almost immediately but we are being careful how we introduce him into games and I’m happy that he is getting it right gradually.

“This is his 4th goal from the bench and we will continue to encourage and support him.”
