Transfer: Nwobodo signs new contract at FC Cincinnati

Major League Soccer (MLS) club, FC Cincinnati, have extended the contract of Nigeria midfielder, Obinna Nwobodo, for one more year.

The club made the announcement on their official website.

“FC Cincinnati have exercised the contract options on Obinna Nwobodo, Miles Robinson and Sergio Santos.

“The club also exercised the contract option on Álvaro Barreal, who is on loan at Brazilian side Cruzeiro Esporte Clube until December 31, 2024,” the statement read.

The former Flying Eagles star linked up with FC Cincinnati from Turkish club, Goztepe in 2022.

He has made 80 appearances and scored twice for the club.

Nwobodo is the highest earning Nigerian star in the MLS.
