2027: ADC, PRP initiate merger talks

The African Democratic Congress, ADC, and the Peoples Redemption Party, PRP, have opened discussions on a potential merger ahead of the 2027 general elections.

This was disclosed by the ADC National Chairman, Ralphs Okey Nwosu, at the official launch of the Digital Political Academy at the ADC Global Campus in Abuja.

Nwosu highlighted the commitment of both parties to justice and their shared vision of building a strong and effective opposition.

“Our party, ADC, and the PRP are committed to building a virile opposition and are standing firm together on justice.

“We must not allow the chaos to overshadow our stellar character as a transformation-driven, innovative, and value-oriented political party.

“I am honored to stand before you today to announce the launch of our Digital Political Academy,” Nwosu said.

Nwosu also criticized opposition lawmakers from the Labour Party, LP, for defecting to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, expressing disappointment at their actions during a period when Nigerians were relying on the opposition to address the challenges posed by the APC government.
